TURLOCK, Stanislaus County — October 26, 2026. The City of Turlock is preparing the next round of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Service Grants for fiscal year July 1, 2027 through June 30, 2028. Nonprofit organizations working with low- and moderate-income residents are potential applicants.
Which services have qualified previously?
City Housing Program Services says previous awards supported services for teen parents, low-income food assistance, cold-weather shelters, and gang prevention at schools. That list illustrates past city funding, not a guarantee that every similarly named project is eligible this year. Applicants should read the official Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA), application guidelines and federal CDBG rules.
Important: city pages show different opening times and deadlines
Two currently accessible official Turlock web addresses contain conflicting dates. One city-hosted page says documents become available October 26 and applications are due December 10 by 5 p.m. Another city-hosted version says applications open October 28 and the deadline is December 10 by 3 p.m., through the OpenGov procurement platform. Because these discrepancies can affect eligibility, applicants should confirm the controlling NOFA and deadline directly with Housing Program Services rather than rely on the later 5 p.m. time.
Contact and documents
Housing Program Services is at 156 South Broadway, Suite 140, Turlock, CA 95380. Call 209-668-5610 or email hps@turlock.ca.us for the current filing instructions. Review the city grant page and the alternate official city posting for their different stated dates.
Source note: This report flags an unresolved inconsistency in the municipality’s published information. California58 has not independently obtained confirmation of which portal schedule supersedes the other. The federal CDBG program supports eligible service activities; no individual grant or award amount is promised.
